Our Vision.

 

  • HISTORY

 

         A.SEVIDAL TRADING is a business venture established through the perseverance of  MRS. ANASTACIA A. SEVIDAL. They started in 1977 by walking into different establishments along Buendia and Ayala Avenue. A pushcart was used to load whatever scraps they purchased, and then sell it directly to junk dealers. Paper bag making also was one of their source of income.

As time runs, they started to buy different kinds of metals like iron, copper, aluminum, stainless, and others. Obsolete computers and equipments were also added to what they are buying.

In 1977, they become known to different companies and started to invite them to their biddings. Until the time that Gelmart Industries sold their scraps to A. SEVIDAL TRADING, Gelmart required the company to dismantle and haul their scraps.

Armed with courage and perseverance their clientele grew big and gained many customers in the process. These includes banks, insurance companies, hotels, schools, electronics and semiconductor company, which up to presents still is their customers.

            During this time, A. SEVIDAL TRADING expanded the business by supplying paper trimming to hatcheries and ceramic companies and these are: General Milling, Robina, RFM, San Miguel Foods (Magnolia Hatchery) and Touch of Craft.

            The company acquired a contract at AMKOR/ANAM in 1985 under Mr. Dan Manio, the company Purchasing Manager. The contract lasted for five years. The company also had a contract at Allegro Microsystem under Mr. Noel De Sagun. Then Zilog and Epic also asked the company’s services in hauling their garbage.

            A.SEVIDAL TRADING is a pro environment company, a business engaged in recycling, segregating and sorting a process in which the company is able to help waste reduction.  A procedure properly maintained, and up to present no single complaint from the community.

            At present, A. SEVIDAL TRADING expanded the business. The company is into   selling / supplying / IT products to different costumers, these are schools and the computer stores, most of the customers are from the province area. The company offers a wide range of computer products, be it brand new or second hand computers. A.SEVIDAL TRADING values every costumer and aims to provide quality services to the customer.

C. OWNERSHIP

 

      A single proprietorship business, registered under the name of Anastacia A. Sevidal. The       company is operated and managed by family members.

F. INFO ON COMPANY PROPERTY

 

A with a total lot area of 1,050 sq. meters located at Block 1 Lots 10,12 & 14 Saint Urcising St, and also a 291 sq. meter lot located at Block 1 Lot 2 Saint Urcising St. cor. Saint Charles St., Saint Joseph Subdivision, Pulang Lupa 2, Las Pinas City. The place is divided into four (4) areas:

 

AREA 1 - is an open area allocated for the hauled scrap materials, machines and

equipment.

 

AREA 2 – is allotted for dismantling and sorting of scrap materials according to their

class. This is a well ventilated and lighted area, a place conducive for workers. 

 

AREA 3 – is a more secure area; this is the storage area for the valuables, spare parts and

all items for delivery.

 

AREA 4 – is a three storey building which serves as the display area. This is where the

computer and computer parts is located. Located here are the company owned

equipments and the employees locker.

G.        MANPOWER INFORMATION

 

  • The company has 15 workers that render their services during hauling, dismantling, sorting and for deliveries of scrap materials. Some of the worker is designated to maintain the cleanliness in the work area and the whole warehouse.
  • Eight hours of work is implemented on a daily basis, the work starts at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm. Three full meals and snack is being provided to every worker during hauling.
  • For overtime, the workers are paid accordingly and fairly.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is issued to every worker.
  • Each worker provided with a tool box with complete set of tools
  • The employee place of work is well lighted and well ventilated.

 

H.        EMERGENCY RESPONSE

 

  • Medicine cabinet is strategically located in areas where it is accessible to workers. And in the event of an accident, first aid is immediately administered.
  • Fire extinguishers are also located strategically in the work area and in the warehouse.
  • Workers/employee is given the equal opportunity to undergo and participate in seminars and training on safety and handling of hazardous materials, this seminar is usually conducted by D.E.N.R. and P.E.Z.A.

  • The company provides transport services for different kinds of hazardous wastes; the D.E.N.R. issued a Transporter Registration Certificate with number TP-13-76-0043.

  • The company provides demolition services (A&E Sevidal Demolition Services).

  •  A.SEVIDAL TRADING is a registered Residual Waste Hauler of P.E.ZA. with Certificate of Registration No. RHW-2007-035 and can  render residual and garbage hauling services to companies.

 

J.      PROCEDURE ON HANDLING DIFFERENT KINDS OF SCRAP

 

  • Scrap machines is dismantled, segregated and then sorted according to kind and then directly sold to buyers. Usual buyers of scrap materials especially metals are exporters.

  • For scrap papers; it is sorted according to color, and for confidential documents, shredder is provided.

  • The company also provides crushing services to certain companies for scrap plastic and I.C.

  • On hazardous wastes, the company can transport and handle wastes and can also help in the documentation.

M. COMPANY PROCEDURE AND OPERATION

 

   A. SORTING AND SEGREGATION

 A 1050 sq. meter lot is allotted for proper dismantling and sorting of scrap        materials, the dismantled items is then segregated according to classification.

Spare parts are sold to end users. Fifteen workers are involved in this process, workers are required to observe and implement safety procedures during the process.   

 

 

 

 

C. DUMPING

 

Metals are sold for recycling. Garbage is disposed properly, the garbage collector come twice a week to collect the garbage. Papers are also sold for recycling.  The warehouse generates very minimal amount of garbage during the procedure. Segregation of bio-degradable and non bio-degradable is implemented.

 

 

N. HANDLING OF HAZARDOUS WASTES AND MATERIALS

 

On handling hazardous wastes, the laws implemented by the D.E.N.R. are always followed. The workers are properly trained on how to classify and handle hazardous wastes. Hazardous wastes have their own way in terms of handling and this procedure will depend on the rules and regulations implemented by the D.E.N.R.
